Eligibility
Available assistance
Assistance from SAFE is available to all members of the San Diego advertising industry, including those employed in the following fields:
- Advertising Agencies
- Advertising Sales Organizations
- Broadcast Properties
- Direct Marketing Firms
- Graphic Design Firms
- Freelance Graphic Designers, Copywriters, Commercial Photographers, etc.
- In-house Advertising Departments
- Interactive/New Media Companies
- Newspaper & Magazine Publishers
- Outdoor Media
- Printing & Mailing Companies
- Production Companies
- Talent Agencies
Applicants must have been employed in the San Diego advertising industry for a continuous period of three (3) years and not absent from the field for more than one (1) year, prior to applying for assistance. Retirees from the advertising profession are also eligible.

What we do not cover
SAFE assistance is not available for those experiencing financial difficulty unrelated to a qualifying life crisis. These include:
- Credit Card Debt
- Debt Consolidation Loans
- Educational Loans
- Mortgage Assistance
- Elective or Cosmetic Medical Care
